Wading Pool Weather

Leanna and Dan had to go to Sacramento and so Alex, Maya and Trent stayed at Grandma's house.  It is getting quite warm making it perfect weather to go swimming in the wading pools.

Trent thoroughly enjoyed himself.

So did Maya

and Alex.

After they went swimming we had a few Easter egg hunts, and  then they played playhouse.

Later in the day Maya decided to make a project. Very cute!

Lassen Park

Kyla was in Redding Sunday and Monday.  We had a nice visit.  We decided to go to Lassen Park--one of our favorite places--and hike around Manzanita lake.  It was beautiful weather and beautiful scenery!

Later in the day we met Leanna and her family and went on another hike close the Whiskeytown Lake.  The trail ended up having some spectacular views overlooking Clear Creek.  It was fun hiking with everyone but I found out I still have acrophopia.  I think I do better on flat trails!  After the hike we had a  delicious dinner at Red Robin.

Maya's New Hair Style

Leanna, Alex, Maya and Trent came over to my house tonight.  What a surprise when I saw Maya!  These are some pictures that Leanna took earlier today.

Leanna took  Maya to have her hair cut today.

She said that Maya looked in a book and picked out the hair style she wanted all by herself.

Maya reminds me so much of Leanna when she was little!  Absolutely darling!

Here is a picture of Maya and her Auntie Sophie.  Great job, Maya, I really like your new hair style!

More Cute Little Chicks

Today I went along with Leanna and my beautiful grandchildren to the feed store to get some  more little chicks.  They picked out  two darling little Barred Rocks to add with the three Buff Orpington chicks they bought last week.

A kind man helped us get the chicks.

Trent was fascinated with the little Barred Rock chicks.

He was delighted with the new additions to their chicken family.

All of the baby chicks seem to get along just fine with each other.

Mother's Day

The Clayburns are enjoying their new little additions to their family, three cute little Buff Orpington chicks.

Leanna has been wanting some chickens  for quite awhile.  For Mother's Day they started building a chicken coop.

Leanna is quite proficient with the saw.  They made creating the chicken coop a family event.

Maya, Trent and HughHey relaxing and having some fun.

Maya helping her Dad measure the boards for the chicken coop.

We went to the feed store to buy these darling little Buff Orpingtons.  They seem to like their new home.
