On Monday, June 27, I went to a memorial service for Kay's father, Keith Wilson, at the Northern California Veteran's Cemetery in Igo. Kay is a dear childhood friend. Mr. Wilson served in the United State's Navy during World War II to help defend our precious freedom. I hold a deep respect for our armed forces and their dedication to serve our country.
The services for Mr. Wilson were held in the beautiful new Veteran's Memorial Chapel. The chapel is a wonderful addition to the cemetery.
After the service the Wilson family had a reception at the Ono-Igo Community Church. Because of obligations to my work I was not able to attend. My heart and prayers are with Kay and her family at this difficult time.
